CHARLES W. LAMBERT, 77, TRUCK DRIVER, PAINTER

      Charles W. Lambert, 77, a retired truck driver and master painter, died Saturday at Orchards Villa Nursing Home at Lewiston of emphysema.
      He was born March 27, 1913, to Louis and Verna (Watt) Lambert at New York City.
      He graduated from high school at Fairbury, Neb., in 1932.
      He drove commercial trucks in Washington, Oregon and Idaho, and worked as a logger in those states and also Montana. He also worked for the U. S. Forest Service in the 1930s near Pierce, Idaho, fighting blister rust. He was also a commercial and residential painter.
      He married E. Vivian Daniels at Coeur d'Alene on Nov. 24, 1941.
      Lambert enjoyed hunting and fishing and played pool and bowled.
      He was a member of the Elks and Moose clubs. He was a member of the Congregational-Presbyterian Church at Lewiston.
      Survivors, in addition to his wife at Lewiston, include a son, Charles R. Lambert of Marysville, Wash.; a daughter, Charlotte L. Morgan of Puyallup, Wash.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
      Funeral services will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home at Lewiston Tuesday at 11 a.m. John Williams of Congregational-Presbyterian Church and R. Dwaine Lambert of Vancouver, Wash., will be officiating.
      Visitation will not be held.
      Funeral arrangements are being handled by Mountain View Funeral Home.
